Forex Robot World Cup Review

If you're just like me and you trade in the currencies market, you must of heard the Buzz surrounding the latest Forex Robot (EA) development competition.

What do you mean you haven’t… “Where Have You Been Hiding”?

I frequented their site as often as I could prior to the competition launch to read everything I could get my hands on pertaining to the selection criteria for the entrants and the rules of the competition. Well I had to satisfy myself that it was the real I am, "didn't I"!

To say the least I was not disappointed at all with what I found there.

What I discovered was that the competition was the joint Brainchild of a group of like minded Forex traders and system developers, who had the same objectives in mind.

They had put into place a difficult, but fair to all selection criteria to filter out the none starters, and the rules of the competition, though stringent, gave a level playing field to all entrants to the competition.

In brief they were striving to hold the worlds first genuinely professional, Automated Forex Trading Competition.

I got a strong impression that they wanted to give independent (non-commercial) developers the chance to showcase their abilities to the world, whilst also demonstrating to everyone else how far automated trading can go in terms of Profitability, Stability and Reliability.

One of the main issues that I believe has driven them, was to put an end to the droves of useless forex robots marketed on a regular basis, which only benefit the marketers and never the end users.

I for one support them in this, because to my misfortune, I have stumped up for most of them over the years! and most of them never even earned their price tag.

Another issue is their belief that the incredible genious of the EA developers is grossly understated. There are only a few people scattered around the world who have the ability to program at this level and the competition organisors believe that these talented people have the right to be appreciated and recognised.

Due to the competition being held in a (Gold Fish Bowl) i.e. transparent, live, real money environment, where anyone with an internet connection could go online and follow the results of the qualifying EA’s in real time, the interest in this competition has been staggering to say the least.

Many Traders and many other interested parties, World Wide, have been following the competition with baited breath excitedly awaiting the outcome of this unique competition. Not least of all me!

Why so much interest you might ask?

Well it boils down to the old survival of the fittest theory.

In every competition, it is well understood that, no matter what it is for, the winner is always the best and with competition and qualification rules as tough as these, the quality of the winning robots will be furthered magnified.

Bottom line is I and many others want access to what ever wins!

Summary

My view is that this competition represents an equal opportunity for every single Forex robot developer, and every person waiting to purchase the winning robots. The overriding aim appears to be, to conduct the most transparent event ever, which yields the most accurate results and performances. The results will be out soon and I can't wait !
